The Claim

The claim is a very detailed description of damages suffered by Llanos Oil. Trial is scheduled to commence on 19 January 2011 at The Court of The Hague.

The Court of The Hague issued a court order (“pre-judgement”) on 06 July 2010 granting Llanos Oil to seize up to seven billion euro in assets of Colombia’s National Oil Company “Ecopetrol” that fall under Dutch jurisdiction as part of The Claim “Llanos Oil vs. Ecopetrol & Colombia.

The Court of The Hague has granted Llanos Oil to lien Ecopetrol’s accounts held at ABN AMRO BANK NV & ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND NV.

Llanos Oil has placed a Summary Proceeding followed by an Appeal against ABN AMRO BANK NV & ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND NV for failure to lien Ecopetrol’s bank accounts as granted to Llanos Oil by The Court of The Hague.

Llanos Oil (van Bilderbeeks) remain the legal owner of the Guatapuri oil & gas rights.The officer of Ecopetrol cancelling Llanos Oil’s contract did not have the legal authority nor the powers invested in him to cancel Llanos Oil’s Guatapuri oil & gas contract.
